Brussels - DevOps Engineer

For our client, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will lead the way in building their Software-as-a-Service product. But before telling you who are we looking for, you might be interested to know more about who you will work with.

The Story

Bertrand and Pol first crossed each other's paths 13 years ago on a common project in a big global consulting firm. In 2018, during a summer barbecue, they both came to the same conclusion: they want to do more than to invest in their own skillset and network. They want to build something with the potential to outgrow themselves! They both quit their job and started this new and exciting entrepreneurial journey.

Together, they developed a solution that automates cognitive tasks in order to optimize everyone's time by reducing the number of repetitive tasks. This is what we call Intelligent Automation! Thanks to the advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning, it is possible to automate not only repetitive tasks that require doing but also complex tasks that require thinking.

Bertrand and Pol are doing an amazing job! It took them some time to build their product, but now that they have it secure, highly performant, working under real-life imperfect conditions, and easy to set up and integrate, the sky is their only limit and they see things BIG! The Challenge

Today, they are looking for a DevOps/Python enthusiast that will bring their experiences, best coding practices, and a collaborative attitude to help the team accomplish its bold ambitions.

In this position, you will

Advance the development of current and future core modules of the product

Support the expansion of the product to high performance and scale

Make architectural choices and advice on which components to use, build or buy

Work closely with other engineers (AI/front-end/infra) to align all development efforts

Solve scalability issues and eliminate performance bottlenecks

Above all, ship lots of high-quality code in every sprint!!!

This job is perfect for you if

You are a Linux expert

Have 2 years of experience working in a DevOps role

You have experience building a modern SaaS stack:

• Automation frameworks (f.e. Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet or Saltstack)
• CI/CD and Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Containerization technologies such as Docker. Using docker at scale (Swarm or Kubernetes) is a plus
• Unit, integration and automated testing (frameworks like pytest, jest, cypress, ...)
• Task brokers and message queues (f.e. celery + AMQP + redis)
• NoSQL Databases (f.e. mongoDB)
